About Us

Welcome to the West Yorkshire Fuchsia Society website.

Formed in 1978 we are a friendly Society whose aim is to encourage cultivation of the Fuchsia through education, demonstration and discussion.

The Society has a varied programme of guest speakers and hands on sessions with our own local experts throughout the year, meetings are held monthly from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, January to November. We also hold many ‘meet the public’ events where we try to ensure there is always something for members at all levels of experience to get involved with.

We hold two shows during the year with our ‘Open Show’ being held over the first weekend in August in conjunction with the Leeds Horticultural Society and our ‘Members Show’ held as our August meeting.

So why not come and join us, whether you’re thinking about general growing or being a serious exhibitor you’ll certainly make new friends and learn much more about this beautiful plant.

We look forward to meeting you and you can be assured that a friendly welcome awaits you at ‘The West Yorkshire Fuchsia Society’.
